Chiney
Chiney Ogwumike is a power forward for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. A standout at Stanford University, Ogwumike was the first overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft, a Rookie of the Year award winner that same year and a two-time WNBA All-Star.
In recent years however, Ogwumike has made a name for herself off the court as an ESPN analyst primarily covering the NBA and WNBA. In 2020, she became the first Black woman and WNBA player to host a national radio show for the network and is one of the youngest commentators to be named a full-time NBA analyst for ESPN.
After signing endorsement deals with the likes of Adidas and Doordash, Ogwumike has also made a number of her own investments. In the last few years alone, she has invested in Athletic Greens – a developer and retailer of health supplements intended to help inspire fulfilling lives – and sports content publisher, Overtime. She is also a co-founder of the Women’s International Pickleball Association (WIPA).
